New Digs

These are our new digs for the next 18 months? First is the living room 12' x 12', a couch, two chairs, dining room table/chairs and the entertainment center. It has a 20" flat screen TV and DVD player and receives about 16 channels (KBYU, CNN and a couple of sports stations and some Spanish channels. As you can see in the left hand side the computer is set up here, but will hopefully, be moved into the bedroom to give more space in the living room.



Next is the kitchen, stove, fridge, dishwasher and storage about a 6' x 6' space-tiny but liveable. I guess most Spanish families would kill for a refrigerator this big and from what we hear a dishwasher is almost off limits for most families. The fridge is large, but it costs too much to fill it up. Getting started we have spent roughly$250.00 to get just the basics to eat.

The bedroom is good sized with a queen bed and two closets, dressers, night stands etc, roughly about 12' x 12'. The mattress is really nice and we haven't had one sore back as of yet. The kind of blinds they use here are fantastic, they block out all of the sunlight and you can get the room as dark as you would like.





Of course, off of the bedroom is a really nice sized bathroom....two sinks and a bathtub (Mom was in heaven when she saw that). Paul would shower here any day....the water pressure and shower head allow it to blow you right out of the shower/tub. When we first turned on the water it was dark brown....but within a few minutes it was pretty clear so Mom decided she would give it a try.



This is looking out our bedroom and living room window. The red building is the curch (Stake Center, Genealogy Center, etc. Of course the other one is the Madrid Spain Temple. It is so beautiful on the outside but ten times as beautiful on the inside. We had our first day of work on Tuesday, 22 April 2008. It was awe inspiring to go through it before we started our jobs. Hopefully, many of you will be able see this in person and go through a session.
