First off I want to tell you about a wedding that happened last week. It was a young couple from France. I had the opportunity to help the bride in the brides room before she was sealed. She had already received her endowment previously. She had been married civilly the Friday before coming to the temple. France does not acknowledge a Temple wedding as valid which is the same here in Spain. She was a beautiful bride. Her Grandfather did the sealing.
Her Father is the first general authority called from France and he was put in as a seventy in April’s General Conference. His name is Gerald Casse (Tom told him to be quiet in the Temple, not knowing who he was). They are/were very gracious people. This daughter was their oldest and has four other siblings. They took pictures outside afterwards and I was able to get a few. I felt very honored to have that opportunity . By the way it was not because I knew French but because the bride and her mother spoke English!
Now to this week. On Monday we went to Pizza Hut again with two of the missionary couples and it was sooooo good. We kind of went to celebrate Tom’s Birthday which was the next day.
Tuesday was Tom’s Birthday and it was kind of a quiet one. I did fix breakfast for him which is an annual occurence! Then I gave him a couple gifts-shoes and a tie. The shoes have already gone back to the store of course! 
The tie I bought from a Russian Elder who was here to get his Visa. The Rust’s invited us to lunch at their place which was very sweet of them. In his dessert he got a candle and we sang Happy Birthday to him.Thanks to all of the family and friends who sent emails, he loved them.
On Thursday we went to a store called Al Campo which is a lot like a Walmart as well. We took Claudia with us so she could shop as well. Of course the trip would not be complete if we didn’t go to McDonald’s! They have some cute Christmas stuff and it is hard for me to refrain from buying some of it! We will probably buy a Christmas tree there next week.
On Friday we took Claudia to the Plaza Sol which has a lot of shops. The weather here has been great for a couple of weeks so it has been good shopping weather. They say it’s normally much colder by now but we are not complaining! Tom mentioned Claudia in our last blog she is the one from Portugal who lost her husband (Stake President) to pneumonia not too long ago. She returned to Portugal today she had been here for three weeks. Our heart goes out to her for all she has been through. Brother & Sister Pereira also came by tonight and brought back our dishes from Sunday's dinner along with a "prized" can of jam (famous in Equador & Brasil) for a small token of their appreciation. We have really grown close to and have a great love of both of these people.
Saturday we had our movie night and we showed “Night at the Museum!” Everyone but one person had seen it before. Berkley who had not seen it was not to impressed! I remember that’s how we felt when we first saw it. We picked up more of the humor this time so it was enjoyable to us.
A wonderful event which happened was that we received our package from you guys. Thank you so much Scott & Malia for getting the stuff we had requested and for the wonderful calendar for next year. We brought last year’s calendar and the one Malia gave us when we left and now this one for next year. We love looking at all of the pictures and the memories that were created. A lot of memories and the new one of events that have happened since we’ve been gone. We look at them constantly. We look forward to opening the Christmas gifts next month.
We had Linda Lovera to dinner today. She is so cute and happy all the time.
She is starting a new job tomorrow. She is going to be taking care of an elderly person in her home each day . She is very strong in the church and has a strong testimony of the gospel. 
It’s always great to see her and to have her come over.
Next week being Thanksgiving we have many things we are thankful for. We are grateful for our testimonies and the gospel and for the guidance it gives us. We are grateful to our Savior who sacrificed for us all, that we may have eternal life. We are extremely grateful that we have the opportunity to be a Eternal family. We are grateful for each and everyone of you . For the special spirits you all have. We are grateful for blessing unmeasured . Please know that our thoughts will be with you as you get together for Thanksgiving. Please know how much you are loved and cared for. Love Mom & Dad
